Even as a single career woman I had to work and plan to ensure that I carved out time for fitness and exercise. When I had kids, it became harder but more important than ever to take care of myself and the people I love by making sure we ate healthy, whole foods and managed our time so that we could prioritize total wellness.
It wasn’t easy. I spent a good many years tired, fat and confused about the way I was “supposed” to be eating and feeding my kids. Finally, after years of yo-yo diets and on and off exercise I decided to stop listening to everyone else and start listening to my body.
I threw myself into finding solutions to the everyday challenge of keeping my family healthy and happy on limited time and a tight budget while still maintaining my love of food. I mean, I really love food. I learned to eat what I need and enjoy what I eat. I can make a gourmet dinner but I also recognize there are nights where takeout just has to happen. The good news is that it all can work in a healthy, balanced life.
I became a Health Coach to share what I’ve learned with other busy people who are just trying to live well in their everyday lives. I know you’re out there and I’m happy to share what I know in hopes I can keep you off the crazy food treadmill that I was on for years.
I received my training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I studied more than one hundred dietary theories and a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods. What I learned is that our bodies know just what they need to live well and different things work for different people. As a coach, I’m here to figure out what works for you. Drawing on what I’ve learned, I will help you create a completely personalized roadmap to health that not only includes health and wellness, but will suit your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals no matter how busy, tired or overwhelmed you may be right now.
